We have decided here in Chestnut Hill that we did not like the weather we had last weekend for Valentine’s Day, so we’re having a “do-over.”
This Friday, Saturday & Sunday, Chestnut Hill is hosting Valentine’s Day, Take Two! and giving Mother Nature an opportunity to be a bit kinder to our shops, restaurants, and customers. So, for all of you who felt you missed out a bit on Valentine celebrations this year, here’s your chance to celebrate all over again.
Restaurants, including Mica, Roller’s at Flying Fish, Roller’s Expresso, and Chestnut Grill are offering special menus. Baker Street Bread will have sweet offerings for customers; O’Doodles Toy Store is holding a “Love for Sale” sale; Robertson’s Flowers will be selling bunches of spray (mini) roses for the weekend; Graver’s Lane Gallery is offering 20% off anything heart shaped; and Ten Thousand Villages will give a 25% discount on select Valentine’s gift items to name just a few of the specials.
Other participating shops are Modern Bird Studio, Indigo Schuy, Florum Flowers at Market at Fareway, Chestnut Hill Sports, Hipster Home, and Statement Boutique Consignment. Look for the Valentine’s Day, Take Two! posters in shop windows, stop in, and join the fun.
Like the old song says, “Love is lovelier the second time around! Hopefully, so is Valentine’s Day in Chestnut Hill.
