Tom Tarantino, owner of Star Enterprises Apartments, recently sold Cherokee Village Apartments, 7715 McCallum St., to Eagle Rock Management in Plainview, New York. The apartments are located in 17 Frank Lloyd Wright style buildings spread out over a 19-acre former estate overlooking the Wissahickon.
Tarantino did not disclose the sale price of the apartment complex but said he believes the sale of the property will benefit the Chestnut Hill Community and Cherokee apartments' tenants.
According to the Eagle Rock Management website the apartments were designed by notable Philadelphia architect, Oscar Stonorov and built in two phases during 1954 and 1958. The new owners could not be reached for a comment.
