Crime Report

The following crimes were reported for the week of Dec. 14-21, 2008:

Dec. 20. 7800 block of Devon St. A couple left their home at 1 p.m. and when they returned at approximately 8:10 p.m. they discovered that an unknown person had broken in by forcing a rear basement door. Missing were a jazz bass, a Fender Stratocaster, a Toshiba laptop, an Xbox 360, DVDs, books, Apple airport extreme, earrings, scarf, wallet, digital camera, diamond necklace, diamond ring and a silver bracelet, for a total valued at $4,878.

Dec. 18. 8200 block of Stenton Ave. A 40-year-old Mt. Airy resident told police a black male stabbed in him in the arm with a knife at approximately 11:55 p.m. The suspect was identified but not arrested and there is a witness to the attack.
