Crime ReportThe following crimes were reported for the week of Nov. 23-30, 2008: Nov. 23. 8300 block of Stenton Ave. An unknown male approached a man, said, “Give it up.” And took a green deposit bag containing $300 in checks at approximately 1:10 p.m. The suspect is described as a black male, about 6’, with a medium build and wearing a green sweater and brown pants. Nov. 23. 100 block of W. Springfield Ave. An unknown person forced entry into a home through a rear 3rd floor window between 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 22 and noon on Nov. 23. Taken were two diamond rings, women and men’s jewelry and $100 in cash. Nov. 29. 400 block of W. Springfield Ave. A neighbor told police that between 5:28 p.m. and 5:38 p.m. someone forced entry into a residence through the living room window. Police found drawers open and jewelry cases found outside the house.
