Crime ReportThe following crimes were reported for the week of Aug. 31-Sept. 7: Sept. 1. 8500 block of Germantown Ave. A store clerk told police that three women ran out of the store with baby clothing in their hands at 3:43 p.m. and fled in a blue Buick LeSabre. The women were described as follows: a black female, 30s, 5’8”, 120 lbs., brown hair with braids, multi-colored tank top, multi-colored plaid capris; a black female, 24-26, 5’8”, 140 lbs., dark skin, black straight shoulder length hair, wearing a brown fitted baby doll top with flowers and blue jean capris; and another black female, 27-28, 5’7” 230 lbs., medium complexion, brown shoulder length curly hair, wearing a white shirt and blue capris. The stolen clothing was valued at $300. Sept. 1. 300 block of W. Hartwell Ln. A 42-year-old homeowner reported copper drainpipes valued at $300 missing after returning from vacation in mid-August. Sept. 1. 8800 block of Crefeld St. A Chestnut Hill woman reported having her car broken into between 6 and 7 p.m. Someone broke the front passenger-side window of her blue 1998 Honda. Nothing was taken. Sept. 4. 7700 block of E. Mermaid Ln. A 66-year-old woman reported her wallet stolen from her purse while shopping at Superfresh at 4 p.m. Items taken were three ATM cards, a drivers license, two credit cards, a medical card and an insurance card. Sept. 5. 7700 block of Crittenden St. Erika Johnson, of Wyndmoor, was arrested for stealing after she was caught on tape at the Market Square Laundry where she worked. She was seen on video surveillance taking unknown amounts of money on multiple occasions.
