Random Garden Club took three blue ribbons, including Best in Class, for their urn entry in the Philadelphia Flower Show. The urn was titled “Steal Away-Escape from Reality to Venezuela during Carnival.” The talented designers responsible for the urn include: Jenn Rall, Dean Baker, Susan McCune, Tandy Hawkins, Nadine Ball and Paula Phelan.

Springside School’s entire ninth grade honors Physics class walked away with honors from the Science Fair sponsored by the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science. Seventeen members of the class took first place in their scientific categories and two took second. Bolton-Piechoski engagement
Mr. and Mrs. Crescent George Bolton of Christiansburg, Virg. (formerly of Red Hook, N.Y.) announce the engagement of their daughter Lynn Anne Bolton to Mark D. Piechoski, son of Paul and Mary Ann Piechoski of Philadelphia.
Lynn Anne is a graduate of Ithaca College and earned her Physician Assistant degree from the College of West Virginia. She currently works in emergency medicine at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg, Va.
Mark is a graduate of Chestnut Hill Academy and Virginia Tech. He earned his Masters in Physical Therapy from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. He is Clinic Director of University Physical Therapy in Blacksburg, Va. and is the physical therapy consultant for Virginia Tech Athletics. A June, 2008, wedding is planned. |

ROTARY CLUB’S GOOD DEED: Ester Kurtz and Trish Bonsell of the Rotary Club of Chestnut Hill gave free dictionaries to third graders at the Jenks Elementary School in Chestnut Hill last week. The Rotary has as one of its missions the support of education in a variety of ways. Not in the picture (because he took it) was Jack Soeffing.
