Crime ReportThe following crimes are from the week of Feb. 24 to March 1, 2008. Feb. 25. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Loss prevention manager states that offender and accomplice, who are both employees of the store, were observed on camera placing items in store bags and leaving without paying for items. Police observed tape and offender was taken to NWDD. Accomplice was not at store. Offender, white female, 16 – 20 years old; accomplice, black female. Taken were two cell phones, Nintendo, one MP3 player, two printers, two iPODs, one Compaq Presario computer and one camera. Feb. 26. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Manager states that male came into store to purchase cell phone and left store with six cell phones without paying. Male left his driver’s license in store. Feb. 26. 7800 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that between 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 and 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 28, an unknown person damaged the door handle of a green Ford Focus. Nothing was taken. Feb. 26. Unit block Caryl Lane. Complainant states that between 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 26 and 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 27, an unknown person entered a 2002 Volvo station wagon and a 2002 Jeep Wrangler and stole the following: one GPS device, briefcase with papers, one calculator, one gym bag, sneakers and a cell phone. Feb. 28. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Store detective states that male attempted to steal nine cans of Similac baby formula from store and fled northbound on Crittenden Street. Items were recovered. Occurred at 1:34 p.m. Feb. 29. 8200 block Seminole Street. Complainant states that between midnight and 6 a.m., an unknown person entered an unlocked 2003 Ford and stole garage door opener, unlocked garage and stole a Trek bike. Feb. 29. 8200 block Seminole Street. Complainant states that between 10 p.m. on Feb. 28 and 7 a.m. on Feb. 29, an unknown person entered a green Volkswagen and stole a cell phone. Summary — Seven crimes for week: one burglary, three thefts from vehicles, two retail thefts and one other theft. Town Watch needs your help. To find out more, call 215-248-1320.
