Crime Report

The following crimes are from the week of Oct. 14 to Oct. 20, 2007.

Oct. 6. 100 block E. Evergreen Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a blue Ford Contour, Pennsylvania tag GPW9409. Reported at 8 a.m.

Oct. 16. 8000 block Roanoke Street. Witness states that they observed offender climb into complainant’s back window, and called 911. Police officer, badge #7382, apprehended male as he was leaving house. Male was identified and arrested. Stolen items that were taken were recovered. Offender is Leroy Wade, d/o/b 12-11-57, residing in the 300 block of E. Erie Ave. Reported at 12:27 p.m.

Oct. 19. 200 E. Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a green 2006 Kawasaki ZX10 motorcycle. Reported at 8:27 p.m.

Oct. 19. 200 block W. Highland Ave. Complainant states that on Oct. 18, an unknown person broke into location through third floor window. Nothing was taken. White male, possibly in teens, blonde hair, wearing a gray shirt was seen hanging around property. Reported at 1:37 p.m.

Oct. 20. 8400 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states she placed her purse in back room when she went out for a short break and when she returned she found someone had taken her orange purse containing a cell phone, driver’s license and credit cards. Reported at 10 a.m.

Summary — Five crimes for week: two burglaries, two stolen vehicles and one theft.
