Crime Report

The following crimes are from July 1 to July 7, 2007.

June 5. 400 block W. Willow Grove Ave. An unknown person stole a green 2000 Jeep Cherokee, Pennsylvania tag EMV2320. Reported at 9:32 p.m.

July 1. 7900 block Stenton Ave. Between 7 p.m. on June 30 and 4:30 p.m. on July 1, an unknown person stole a 1993 Jeep Cherokee, New Jersey tag STX94C. Reported at 12:48 p.m. on July 2.

July 2. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Police officer was having lunch in parking lot when he observed a male running from storebeing pursued by store employees. The employees said that the man had just committed a retail theft. Male was apprehended coming out of woods at Cresheim Valley Drive and Crittenden Street. Taken were six cans of Similac. Occurred at 2:12 p.m.

July 2. 8200 block Ardleigh Street. Complainant states that males approached him and pointed a silver handgun at him. Complainant states that males took money and school identification. Males walked eastbound on Hartwell Lane toward Water Tower Recreation Center.

July 3. 8500 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that female, after making a purchase, proceeded to take additional items from table at front door without paying for them, putting them in her shopping bag. Reported at 5:55 p.m.

July 4. 200 block E. Willow Grove Ave. An unknown person broke into a 1994 Buick Century and broke the steering column. Reported at 12:28 p.m.

Six crimes for above period: one robbery, two stolen vehicles, one attempted stolen vehicle and two retail thefts. Stay alert and report anything you think needs police investigation.
