Crime Report

The following crimes are from the week of June 24 to June 30, 2007.

June 26. 7800 block Ardleigh Street. Complainant states that an unknown person tried to gain entry to her home by cutting the screen to her window, but entry was not made. Reported at 2:50 p.m.

June 26. Unit block E. Moreland Ave. Complainant states she left her house for about two hours and when she returned she was unable to open her front door with her key. Upon further investigation she found her basement window was broken and the dining room window was raised and the screen pushed in. Front door was dead-bolted from inside. Taken was one diamond watch, one sapphire and diamond ring, amber jewelry, various gold jewelry, gold diamond band, diamond cross and two pair of diamond earrings. Reported at 1:35 p.m.

June 30. 300 E. Willow Grove Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a green 1996 Volkswagen Jetta, Pennsylvania tag GKZ4446, between 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on June 26. Reported at 7:32 p.m.

June 30. E. Bells Mill Road. Complainant states that an unknown person broke the passenger side window of a 2003 Dodge Caravan and stole complainant’s handbag with IDs and her daughter’s handbag.

Summary — Four crimes for week: two burglaries, one stolen vehicle and one theft from vehicle. Don’t tempt the bad guys. Keep all things out of vehicle. What you think is not worth stealing might be highly saleable elsewhere.
