The Alliance for Young Artists
& Writers, Inc. has selected two Chestnut Hill Academy
students to receive Gold Key Awards in its 2007 Scholastic Art and
Writing national competition. Eighth grader Chip Wohlstetter (right)
was honored for his painted self-portrait and senior Walter Wynne
(below), for his etching entitled “Gossip.”
The Gold Key Awards are given for “exceptional works in a
category” and represent the highest recognition given at the
competition’s regional level. Regional Gold Key winners automatically
qualify for the national Scholastic awards. This is the second year
that Wohlstetter has been singled out for recognition with a Gold
Key.
