Crime Report

The following crimes are from the week of October 8 to October 14, 2006.

Oct. 8. 7700 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that an unknown male came into store and took three watches and four candy bars and left without paying for the items. Reported at 11:44 a.m.

Oct. 8. 7700 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that the same unknown male in the above listing, entered the store again and took 20 watches and fled without paying for them. Reported at 1:44 p.m. Male was apprehended in store at Germantown and Allens Lane a short time later. Offender resides in the 100 block E. Walnut Lane.

Oct. 10. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states she left building at 8 a.m. and when she returned at 6:30 p.m. she discovered the following items missing: a package of hot dogs, cereal, a pair of Nike slippers and money. No sign of forced entry. Boyfriend has extra set of keys. Reported at 8 p.m.

Oct. 11. 8400 Ardleigh Street. Complainant states that an unknown person entered his 1994 Subaru Legacy and stole a laptop computer from front seat and a digital camera from the glove compartment. No sign of forced entry. Reported at 7:20 p.m.

Oct. 11. 400 block E. Gravers Lane. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a Dell laptop computer and a box of cigars from a Mercedes Benz. Car may have been unlocked. Reported at 7:44 p.m.

Oct. 12. 7700 block Crefeld Street. Complainant states that an unknown person forced open the first floor door, made entry and stole an unknown amount of jewelry. Occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.

Oct. 13. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m., an unknown person stole a red 1994 Dodge Intrepid.

Oct. 14. 100 block W. Chestnut Hill Ave. Complainant states that at approximately 2:20 a.m. his dog started barking and the flood lights went on in the rear of property. Complainant went downstairs and didn’t see anything. The following morning complainant found his laptop computer and his IBM ThinkPad laptop on ground and another item was missing from his 2005 Audi. Vehicle may have been left unlocked.

Summary — Eight crimes for week: one burglary, one stolen vehicle, three thefts from vehicles, two retail thefts and one other theft.
