COMMUNITY MANAGER
CHESTNUT HILL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
The Community Manager acts in matters of community leadership and
implements the decisions of the organizations Board of Directors and
Executive Committee. This is a full time position, requiring participation in evening and weekend meetings and community activities.
Responsibilities include oversight of the financial affairs of the Association and the Community Fund, maintenance of CHCA files, participating in fund raising activities, writing grant proposals on behalf of the organization and its programs, managing Fund-owned properties.
The Community Manager administers the personnel policies for direct office staff and coordinates the staff functions of the Chestnut Hill Local in cooperation with the Editor. This position manages the day-to-day office functions including approval of expenditures, maintains the banking and budget of the Association, and oversees the work of the Associations bookkeeper.
This person, under direction of the President, will represent the CHCA to the local and regional community and agencies of city, state and Federal governments. The successful candidate must therefore demonstrate effective speaking and writing skills to communicate with people of diverse background, education and interests.
Requirements include professional experience in staff management and training, budget development and tracking, computer skills and leadership qualities. Knowledge of land use policies and practices to assist in CHCA committee reviews is desired but not required. Successful candidate must be flexible to meet the changing needs and priorities of this evolving
community organization.
