Springside second graders Noëlle Goudy (left) and Ché Carter dissect owl pellets in their science class. This goes along with a unit on owls where the girls each will research a particular kind of owl. They learned that tweezers, toothpicks, and rulers can actually be scientists’ tools. Excitement is building for their upcoming owl prowl where they will hike at night as a class with parents to listen for and possibly see owls in the Wissahickon woods.
