Super Nick & Super Indy on Vacation in Monkeyopia
by Lela Lerner, age 9

One day Nick and Indy, canine superheroes, went to Monkeyopia and stayed in the M. Opia Hotel. Monkeyopia is full of monkeys. Super Nick and Super Indy were the only dogs there! They wanted to go on a walk but they did not know what path to take. So they asked the bellboy, Osoco. “Osoco,” Indy said, “what path should we take?” “I think you should take the Alco path. It’s full of secrets,” said Osoco. “Thanks!” said Nick and they went on the Alco path. It was a very nice walk, a very green walk until the end. Nick and Indy just wanted to keep going and going but then everything turned brown. They sat down on a log and then they tried to get up but they couldn’t. They were chained to the log! Then a voice said, ,”Ha ha ha. I have you right where I want you!” Super Nick and Super Indy did not know what to do. But then a little voice said, “Put me down.” Nick had escaped and came out of a bush holding Marco Mouse, the salesmouse for a major cheese company. Marco was from out of town and was hoping for a sale. He wanted Nick and Indy to buy the Mouseotron 6000, an automatic cheese maker. But they didn’t. Nick and Indy soon left Monkeyopia to return to fighting crime. They were not well rested from their vacation so they couldn’t work for the next week! The end.
