"Interfaith Peace Prayer Service for the Middle East brings people together for peace." Rosemont, PA-On Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 7pm at the Rosemont College SHCJ Chapel, different Christian, Muslim, and Jewish peace groups and individuals from various ethnic and religious backgrounds will participate in offering and reading a prayer of peace, a poem, or performing a song for the interfaith peace prayer service for peace in the Middle East. There will be young college students, children, adults, a children's musician, and older members participating and attending. Co-sponsoring the peace prayer service will be the Catholic Peace Fellowship, Bubbes and Zaydes for Middle East Peace, Jewish Voice for Peace, Interfaith Peacebuilders- Palestine/Israel program, and the Cabrini College Student Peace Alliance of the US Department of Peace campaign Along with these groups, other individuals will also pray in community and participate. Daria Marmaluk Hajioannou, a children's folklore musician from Bethlehem, PA, will perform her song "Salaam/Shalom." Matthew Rotella, a Pennsylvania coordinator for the establishment of a Dept of Peace will also be present to speak about the recent Rep. Kucinich bill and resolution in the House (H.Con. Res. 450) for an immediate cease-fire in the Middle East and bill (H.R. 3760) to establish a Dept of Peace. Rosemont College is located on 1400 Montgomery Ave, Rosemont PA 19010. On Dogs in Pastorius Park The woman who wrote about the dog park, and possible changes, errs in her original premise. Pastorius is not a dog park but a PARK. I have a large dog, and am not uncomfortable around dogs.
But I never use Pastorius park for a picnic nor even a casual walk because
of the off-leash dogs. A fenced-in dog run would keep the dogs safe from running
away and will keep the other park users from being bothered by unwanted
attention from dogs.

2, 2006 I don't understand Rich Snowden's goal with these signs.
He claims upset that he was unfairly portrayed as a monster in the local
papers .... but putting up those signs isn't winning him any fans. He's
the grown up equivalent of a spoiled brat that "takes his ball and
goes home" or "won't share his toys because someone will mess
them up". This guy is a joke. And if he wasn't the laughing stock
of the community he certainly is now. Jokes aside, who does this guy think
he is that he can threaten the property values of all who live in Chestnut
Hill. Most of whom have no idea who Rich Snowden is or care. How dare
some stranger threaten to devalue my home over such a selfish quest. If
Rich Snowden really wants to prove people wrong, he should put viable
business in his empty storefronts. Enough is enough.
