I SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM: Do you remember the old familiar sound of the bells of the ice cream truck? They played at Flourtown’s Carson Valley School last week, and 50 children tore out of the school building. The entire Carson Valley Nursery School emptied in a matter of seconds. Ray, the kind and patient driver of the Jack and Jill Ice Cream truck handed out various treats to the giggles, screams and delight of the kids. From bottom, are Lilia Mitchell, of Flourtown, Patrick McCaslin of Wyndmoor, and Luke DiCianno of Lafayette Hill. Carson Valley Nursery School is currently in its summer camp session. For more information, call Jackie Szeliga, Director of Nursery School/Day Care, at 215 233 1960 Ext. 234, or visit www.carsonvalleyschool.org.

MAYA NEEDS A FAMILY: Maya is a very sweet, spectacularly beautiful one-year-old Shiba Inu (the most popular breed in Japan) who needs a loving home because the Mt. Airy couple who adopted her one week ago say she does get along with their cats. The 18-pound sweetie who “believes in Buddhism” obeys commands (except when it comes to cats), is crate-trained, loves long walks and is free to the right home. Call Jennifer or Jamie at 215-247-1669.
