Crime Report

The following crimes are from the week of July 9 to July 15, 2006.

July 9. 7900 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that between 4 p.m. on July 5 and 8:15 p.m. on July 9, an unknown person broke out the passenger side quarter window of a black 1993 Toyota Camry and stole a silver Pioneer mp3 player.

July 10. 7800 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that five unknown black males entered workout room and stole one Motorola Razr cell phone. First male, heavy build, and four other males, thin build. Reported at 4 p.m. on July 9.

July 12. 8600 block Germantown Ave. Employee states that male jumped out of a blue 1989 Ford convertible, Pennsylvania tag GCB1838 and grabbed a pair of white pants and a dark brown shirt off the sales rack outside of store. White male, 5’4” tall, thin build, was passenger, and jumped back into vehicle and fled.

July 13. 100 block W. Abington Ave. An unknown person stole a black Volkswagen Cabrio, Pennsylvania tag EDV0982. Reported at 7:13 p.m.

July 14. 7900 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states she parked her 1999 Jeep Cherokee outside her apartment at 11 p.m. on July 11 and when she returned at 7 a.m. on July 15, she found the passenger side window broken and car radio had been taken. Ignition was damaged in attempt to steal vehicle.

Summary — Five crimes for week: one stolen vehicle, one attempted stolen vehicle, one theft from vehicle, one retail theft and one other theft.
