Crime Report The following crimes are from the week of June 25 to July 1, 2006. June 25. 8800 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that her mother was admitted to hospital on June 12, and while in hospital, an unknown person stole a solitaire diamond ring set in platinum. Complainant states she visited on June 13 and 14 and her mother had ring. Reported on June 25. June 27. 400 block E. Abington Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person stole her purse from her desk. Purse contained wallet, credit cards and driver’s license. Reported at 12:05 p.m. on June 27. June 27. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Manager states he observed defendant leaving store with a cart filled with Similac baby formula without paying for items. Male fled westbound on Mermaid Lane. Items were recovered on Mermaid Lane in shopping cart. Defendant was later stopped and positively identified. Occurred at 9 p.m. June 29. 200 block E. Willow Grove Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person used a glass cutter to cut a circle in his basement living room window. Entry was not gained and nothing was taken. Reported at 5:55 p.m. June 30. Complainant states that an unknown person went into a 2000 Subaru and removed three credit cards which were used to make purchases. Vehicle was left unlocked. Reported at 11:33 a.m. July 1. Unit block E. Willow Grove Ave. Complainant states she left her apartment and when she returned she found her television was knocked over and her DVD player and eight DVDs were missing. Reported at 5:51 p.m. Summary — Six crimes for week: two burglaries, one theft from vehicle, one retail theft and two other thefts. Town Watch is a community effort and needs your help.
