Crime Report The following crimes are from the week of June 18 to June 24. June 19 W. Springfield Avenue and Valley Green Drive. Complainant states that an unknown person stole three credit cards and check No. 3462 from her purse, which was in an unlocked gray Volvo station wagon. Reported at 11:26 a.m. June 20 500 block W. Gravers Lane. Complainant states that an unknown person entered her vehicle, which was unlocked, and stole a cream-blue Vuitton handbag containing credit cards, sunglasses and miscellaneous cosmetics. Reported at 7:10 p.m. June 20 200 block Benezet Street. Complainant states that between 10 p.m. June 19 and 7:30 a.m. June 20, an unknown person stole the passenger-side rear wheel of a 2001 Chevrolet. June 23 8100 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that between 5 and 6 p.m., a male was inside store and after he left employee discovered painting was missing from inside front window. White male, 36 to 40 years old, clean-shaven, pointed chin, wearing a long black suit jacket. June 23 200 block Benezet Street. Complainant states that his car was parked at corner when an unknown male was seen pulling at passenger-side door handle. Complainant’s daughter scared male away. No entry was gained to the silver 2001 Honda CRV. June 24 200 block W. Gravers Lane. Complainant states that between 2:30 and 8 a.m., an unknown person entered an unlocked garage on Meade Street and stole a white 16-speed Trek mountain bike with 27” wheels, red lettering, straight handlebars and headlight taped. June 24 8400 block St. Martin’s Lane. Complainant states that between 12 and 8 a.m., an unknown person entered a 2001 Volvo V70, which was parked in driveway, and stole a black and gray messenger bag with “Art Tech Group” logo. Summary Seven crimes for week: five thefts from vehicles, one residential theft and one retail theft. Lock your vehicles and keep alert to anything that seems wrong. Call 911.
