CEO at local hospital resigns
Chestnut Hill Hospital’s chief executive officer has resigned, several weeks after the departure of assistant CEO Lisa Mallon. Hospital officials declined to release details about Rodney Rider’s resignation in time for the Local’s deadline, but said an official announcement would be made this week regarding the resignation and the search for a new CEO. Jonathan Nalli, who assumed the position of assistant CEO on March 20, said Brooks Turkel would serve as interim CEO. Community Health Systems, which owns Chestnut Hill Health System, must confirm Turkel’s appointment, said spokeswoman Cathy Brzozowski, who declined to release details. Confirmation was expected this week. Nalli previously was chief operating officer at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, also owned by Community Health Systems, which is based in Brentwood, Tenn. He has been with Community Health Systems for more than seven years. The local hospital continues to proceed with its master plan, including expansion, Nalli said. Though no timeline has been set, Nalli is planning to review the master plan this week and present to the hospital’s board of directors at its scheduled meeting on Wednesday, April 12. The hospital’s master plan appears on the agenda for the Chestnut Hill Community Association’s Development and Review Committee, which is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at the Hiram Lodge, 8425 Germantown Ave. |
