TIMBER!
A truck making a delivery to Wissahickon Cyclery knocked over a lamppost at Germantown and Springfield Avenues Friday afternoon. The post as down all weekend and was repaired Tuesday morning by the city Streets Department, said Margaret McGettian of Chestnut Hill Lauderama, where the post was located.

Kindler, who lives in Chestnut Hill, is fundraising coordinator for the Northwestern Equestrian Facility and co-chairperson of next month’s Wissahickon Day Parade. Sonderskov, also a resident of Chestnut Hill, is president-elect of the Chestnut Hill Senior Center and freelance reporter for the Chestnut Hill Local. Traber – Connell engagement
John and Margot Traber of Harrisonburg have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Rose Traber of New York, to Patrick Connell of Philadelphia.
Connell is the son of James and Mary Connell of Chestnut Hill. He graduated from St. Joseph’s Preparatory School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the College of the Holy Cross. He is a student in the Villanova University School of Law.
Traber graduated from Harrisonburg High School and received a degree in fashion design from the University of Delaware. She is a children’s swimwear designer at A.H. Schreiber Co. in New York.
A wedding date has not been set.
