Crime ReportThe following crimes are from the week Feb. 26 to March 4, 2006. Feb. 28. 9600 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person went inside car and stole a Visa card, American Express card and driver’s license from glove compartment. Complainant states car was locked. Reported at 5:30 p.m. March 1. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that between 2:45 and 3 p.m., an unknown person broke the left rear small window of a blue 1999 Saturn SL 1 sedan and stole an Alpine Stereo compact disk player and 35 compact disks and also damaged left rear door. March 1. 7700 block Winston Road. Between Feb. 28 and March 1, an unknown person smashed the passenger side window of a 2000 Dodge Neon and stole a black wallet from glove compartment. March 1. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainants state that between 10 p.m. on Feb. 28 and 1 p.m. on March 1, several thefts took place. First victim states that he parked his silver 1999 Saturn and when he came out he found the rear driver’s side window smashed and a Sony compact disk player stolen. Second victim states that when he came out he found his blue Saturn had the passenger side window broken and radio gone. Third victim states that his tan Saturn passenger side small rear window was broken and his radio stolen. March 1. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that between 12:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., an unknown person stole two Pioneer speakers out of a teal colored Dodge Shadow. March 3. 8400 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states between 2 and 3 p.m., he noticed one Optio 50 Pentex digital mega pixel camera, serial number 1186142 missing. March 3. Unit block Rex Avenue. Two males forced open front door of residence, ransacked property and stole silverware, diamond earrings, engraved silver chest, Samsung digital video disk player, DVD movies, Comcast box and a laptop computer. Two black males, both 31-25 years old, one male dressed in a tan coat and work boots fled at 11 a.m. in a white truck with black toolbox. Summary — Nine crimes for week: one burglary, seven thefts from vehicles and one retail theft. If you see anything suspicious or out of order, call 911.
