ARTISTE Local chef and painter Michael Donato is celebrating
dual success now that one of his pieces “Woman with Poodle”
is hanging in the Woodmere Museum as part of the annual juried exhibition.
Donato is more widely known as the lively chef at popular Chestnut
Hill eatery Caffette.

Sallie Glickman, of
Mt. Airy, was named President of the United States Conference of
Mayors Workforce Development Council during its winter meeting in
Washington, D.C., on Jan. 26. The WDC provides a forum for employment
and training administrators to examine and strengthen policies and
practices that address workforce issues. Under Glickman’s
leadership, the WDC will present an opportunity for local representatives
throughout the country to work collectively to further an urban
workforce agenda. |
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Wiley, of Chestnut
Hill, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jeanine Elizabeth,
to Todd William Vender, son of Dr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Vender, of Winnetka,
Ill.
Jeanine, a 1996 graduate of the William Penn Charter School and
a 2000 graduate of Georgetown University, works as an associate
of strategic planning for the clothing designer, Theory, in New
York.
Jeffrey, a 1996 graduate of Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill., and
a 2000 graduate of Georgetown University, is currently working for
Blue Vista Capital Partners, a private equity real estate firm in
Chicago.
The couple, who will reside in Chicago, has planned a June wedding
at Congress Hall in Cape May, N.J. |

Steve Rock, of Doylestown and Kay Steinkirchner, formerly of Chestnut

Steve is the Executive Director of the Community Conservatory in

Kay is an account executive for Right Management Consultants in
