Crime Report
The following crimes are from the week of Jan. 18 to Jan. 14, 2006. Jan. 8. 200 block E. Willow Grove Ave. between 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 and 2 p.m. on Jan. 8, an unknown person broke out the rear panel window of a 19997 Toyota Corolla and stole the stereo system and the entire heating control panel. Jan. 11. 8600 Germantown Ave. Complainant states that his vehicle was parked at this location for several months and he checked it out occasionally. On this date at 11 a.m. he found rear window broken out. Taken from his 1997 Jeep Cherokee were four circular saws, two tool boxes and two golf clubs. Jan. 11. 8800 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person stole money from her purse while she was at this location. Reported at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 11. 7600 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that a male approached him while he was in his gold 1995 Nissan Maxima sedan and pulled a silver revolver out. Male got into vehicle and said, “don’t move, drive off and don’t make me shoot you.” Complainant drove northbound on Stenton Avenue and made several left turns. Male got off and fled in an unknown direction. Taken was money, driver’s license, Ids and a cell phone. Offender was a black male, medium complexion, wearing a black fluffy skully. Jan. 12. 8000 Germantown Ave. Complainant states that between 1 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., an unknown person stole a red 1987 Pontiac Grand Am, Pennsylvania tag FTD2280. Jan. 12. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states he was parked in a parking lot and when he came back to his vehicle he found left door lock damaged and rear window broken out. The Pennsylvania tag, FWR9681 was stolen as was the rear hatch door. Reported at 2 p.m. Jan. 12. 8500 block Germantown Ave. Complainant noticed his gun missing form his store in December, but wanted to look in another place. Missing gun is a 38 caliber, six shot with a two inch barrel, Serial #C525782. Jan. 13. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that she was walking when offender put a razor to her face and demanded her purse. Complainant states that she and offender struggled for purse and male fled scene running with purse. Male took some things out and then threw purse to the ground as he went westward. Male was gone when police arrived. Reported at 10 p.m. Summary — Eight crimes for week: two robberies, one stolen vehicle, three thefts from vehicles and two other thefts. Town Watch needs your help.
