‘BUS’ STOPS IN CHESTNUT HILL: The next production at The Stagecrafters theater, 8130 Germantown Ave., is the American classic from 1955, Bus Stop, by William Inge. This warm-hearted comedy-drama will open on Friday, January 13, for a three-week run. The action of the play unfolds as a howling snowstorm forces a long-distance bus to stop at a roadside diner, and a group of people is thus thrown together for a few hours during which they reveal their various loves, aspirations, loneliness and longings. For reservations call 215-247-8881 or visit www.thestagecrafters.org. Seen here in rehearsal are Rebecca Cox & James Kenis.

‘CINDERELLA’ RETURNS: Family Stages, the Oreland-based theatrical operation producing children’s plays, is bringing back Cinderella, a story of royalty, romance and the search for dependable household help. Performances, Jan. 15, 2 p.m., and Jan. 16-18, 10 a.m, at Christ Lutheran Church, Pennsylvania and Rech Aves. in Oreland. Tickets, $6.50, can be reserved by calling 215-886-9341 or at www.duetpros.com. Seen here, Miles, The Town Crier (Elise Seyfried) and Prince Charming (Steve Seyfried) search for a mysterious princess.
