TRIAL ATTORNEY DANIEL F. RYAN III has been named to Ten Leaders of Civil Trial & Personal Injury Law of Greater Philadelphia, based on a 2005 survey by Digital Press International of Fort Lee. Ryan, a partner with the firm O’Brien & Ryan LLP of Plymouth Meeting, has been a trial attorney his entire 25-year career, most of that time with the firm that he co-founded. O’Brien & Ryan LLP has its headquarters in Plymouth Meeting, with offices in Center City and in New Jersey. Ryan and his wife, Betsy, reside in Erdenheim.

 


WILLIAM A. LAMB III, of Chestnut Hill, has joined the board of directors of the YMCA of Philadelphia & Vicinity. Lamb is a vice president with the Philadelphia Trust Company, a fully chartered and insured depository trust company that functions as an asset manager and a private bank.

Steere – Ounsworth wedding
Margaret Ellen Ounsworth and Samuel Mercer Steere were married on May 7, 2005, in Philadelphia. The 5 p.m. ceremony and the following dinner reception were held at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.The bride is the daughter of Mary Beth Ounsworth and James Ounsworth, both of Philadelphia, and the groom is the son of Margaret and Allen Steere of Wellesley, Mass.Included in the wedding party were the bride’s brothers, Alec and Matt Ounsworth, and the groom’s siblings, Meg, Allen and John Steere. The bride graduated in 1993 from Germantown Friends School, in 1998 from the University of Virginia and in 2003 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she received a master’s degree in regional planning. She is presently working in Boston as an associate for Bonz and Company, Inc.The groom graduated in 1994 from Wellesley High School, in Wellesley, Mass., and from Elon College in North Carolina in 1998. He is currently enrolled in the masters of business administration program at Northeastern University and is interning at Wellington Management in Boston. The couple is residing in Waltham, Mass.

 

Howey – McPhee engagement

Gary A. Howey and Karen To Howey, of Chestnut Hill, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Tighe Howey, to John Edward McPhee III, son of Sue McPhee of Hillsboroy, N.H. The wedding will be on May 20, 2006, in Scituate, Mass. Miss Howey, a graduate from Mount Saint Joseph Academy and Emerson College, is currently an assistant account executive with Porter Novelli, a public relations firm in Boston. Mr. McPhee, a graduate from the University of Massachusetts, is currently pursuing his MBA.
