Obituaries

Elizabeth T. Hillsley

Elizabeth T. Hillsley, of Rydal Park, formerly of Chestnut Hill, died on August 7.

She was the wife of the late Theodore Hillsley Jr. and mother of Margaret H. Emmons and Theodore M. Hillsley III. She is also survived by five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Marguerite Clark

Marguerite Cooper Clark, 87, of Newtown, formerly of Chestnut Hill and West Grove, died on August 5 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne.

Born in West Grove, Mrs. Clark was the daughter of the late Maris T. and Maude Wilson Clark. She was predeceased by a brother, Sherman, and a sister, Phoebe.

A funeral service was held on August 10 at the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home in West Grove and interment was at the Faggs Manor Presbyterian Church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Personal Care Piano Fund, Pickering Manor, 226 N. Lincoln Avenue, Newtown, PA 18940.

Jean B. Fiske

Jean Bogardus Fiske, 96, a longtime resident of Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill, died on August 3. She was the wife of the late Edward R. Fiske Jr.

Mrs. Fiske was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill and the Philadelphia Cricket Club and served on numerous committees for both organizations. She was active in the Parents Association of William Penn Charter School, which her two sons attended. She was active in many Chestnut Hill activities, including the Main Street Fair, Questors and bridge clubs.

Mrs. Fiske is survived by her two sons, Edward B. Fiske of Durham, N.C. and David H. Fiske of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill on August 6, with interment at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Rydal Park Friendship Fund, 1515 The Fairway, Rydal, PA 19046.

Theresa R. Breyer

Theresa R. (Forestieri) Breyer, of Wyndmoor, died on August 6.

She was the wife of Richard J. Breyer; mother of John (Michele) Mascaro, Sharon (Michael) Krass. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Michelle, Jamie Lyn, Anthony and A. Ona; and her sisters, Grace, Ann and Josephine.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on August 10 at Queen of Peace Church, 820 North Hills Ave., Ardsley. Interment was at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

Robert J. Richey

Robert J. Richey, of Warminster, formerly of Chestnut Hill, died August 8. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Benjamin Richey, father of Robert J. Jr. (Linda) and Benjamin A. (Sandy), grandfather of Aubrey, Emily, Robert III and Andrew; and the brother of Jayne Hottman.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 12 at 11 a.m. at Jacob F. Ruth’s, 8413 Germantown Ave., where friends may call after 10:30 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
