weddingBloodgood – Miller wedding

Bill and Diane Bloodgood of La Quinta, Calif. and B.J. and Jim Volz of Los Gatos, Calif. announce the marriage of their daughter, Katherine Brooks Bloodgood, to L. Clarke Miller, son of Babbie and Ludlow Miller of Chestnut Hill, on August 20. 

The wedding ceremony took place on Lake Tahoe and the reception was held in Squaw Valley, Calif.

Katy and Clarke live and work in San Francisco. Katy is a senior director at Gap, Inc. and Clarke is a senior consultant with Prophet, Inc., a management consulting firm.

famfestFALL FAMILY FESTIVAL AT THE MORRIS ARBORETUM will be on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Don’t miss an afternoon of autumn fun that has become an annual tradition among many families in the area. There are many activities for kids to enjoy. They can stuff and dress their own scarecrow to take home with them.  They can express their creativity by painting a pumpkin. There is musical entertainment to enjoy, and apple sampling galore. Some activities have an additional fee. Lemons & Limes, Lavender Hill, BE Monogram, the Chestnut Hill Gallery, Iris of Chestnut Hill Roller’s, Laurel Hill Gardens and Bredenbeck’s Bakery are teaming up to help fight breast cancer with a special evening on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 6-9 p.m. For example, Glenside jewelry artist Kim McGuckin will be selling her breast cancer awareness jewelry (sample shown here) at Lemons & Limes. Ten percent of the proceeds from the evening’s sales at all of these merchants will go to the Susan G. Komen Research Foundation.

Molly and Greg Dupée, of Oreland, announce the birth of their second son, Graham Franklin. He was born at Abington Memorial Hospital on July 12, weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces; and was 21 inches long. Graham is the younger brother of Jack and the grandson of Sally and F. Joseph Maginn of Lower Gwynedd and Bonnie and Joseph Dupée of Maple Glen.

Lohr twins

Terrance and Susan Lohr, of Chestnut Hill, announce the birth of their twins, Aidan Lenox and Genevieve Carmel, on Sept. 7 at Abington Hospital.
