Crime Report: One aggravated assault, one theft and one theft from vehicle

The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from July 2 to July 8, 2018.

July 3. Theft from 8300 block of Germantown Avenue. A woman told police she left her stroller outside on July 2 at approximately 12:07 p.m. and when she returned, the stroller was gone. Taken was one black jogging stroller with navy blue accents. The item is valued at $500.

July 5. Aggravated assault by handgun on the 7600 block of Stenton Avenue at approximately 1:20 a.m. A man told police that the landlord came to the home and brought a friend with him who threatened him with a handgun. He told police the unknown male put a gun to his head and told him to leave. The man fled and called police. The man declined to go to NWDD and walked away from the police.

July 6. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of West Abington Avenue on June 27 at approximately 12 p.m. A woman told police that an unknown person went into her vehicle and removed an HP laptop valued at $1, 045.

Summary: Three crimes for the week – one aggravated assault by handgun, one theft and one theft from vehicle.
