Crime Report, June 7: Two thefts from vehicles and one theft

The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from May 28 to June 3, 2018.

May 28. Theft from vehicle at Valley Green and Wolcott roads  at approximately 2:30 p.m. A woman told police that she parked her car at the top of Valley Green lot at 2:30 p.m. When she returned at 4 p.m., she noticed the listed items missing from her vehicle. The woman stated she locked the car prior to leaving it. There was no damage to the vehicle. She told police that someone used her Key bank debit card at the Citgo and spent $15.61. One print was pulled from the rear passenger door. The following items were taken: A white Coach purse, one wallet, one phone and $40 in cash. The items are valued at $940.

May 31. Theft from vehicle on the 400 block of East Gravers Lane at approximately 12:30 a.m. A woman told police that an unknown person entered her vehicle and took the listed items. The person also went through the glove box. There was no sign of forced entry. Taken was loose change valued at $25.

June 1. Theft on the 400 block of West Willow Grove Avenue. A man told police he was at the following location having dinner with his son between 9:15 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. on May 24. While they were there, someone took his son's cell phone. Taken was one iPhone 7 valued at $800.

Summary: Three crimes for the week – Two thefts from vehicles and one theft.
