Margot Peirce

Margot Peirce died peacefully on March 9, 2018 from interstitial lung disease.

Margot, age 76, was born in Philadelphia on December 17, 1941 and had been receiving support services at Devereux, an advanced behavioral health organization, in Berwyn, Pennsylvania since 1947.

A faithful and enthusiastic Christian her entire life, Margot was a positive force in this world, and she left a lasting impression on everyone who met her. Margot had many interests including, sewing, knitting, music and puppetry, and her craft items were often sold at local church bazaars and given away as gifts for special family occasions.

Her preference for bright and festive outfits always reflected her vibrant spirit.

Margot was the daughter of Margaret Phelps Peirce and Wilmot Grant Peirce, Jr, of Chestnut Hill, the latter was a founder and CEO of Peirce-Phelps, Inc. She is the sister of Wilmot Grant Peirce III (Grant) and is survived by her sister, Ann Peirce Morris; her brother in-law, Thomas B Morris, Jr; her sister-in-law, Vanessa Lawton Peirce; 8 nieces and nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews; and one great-great niece, all of whom she never failed to call on their birthdays.

Her gusto for life continually inspired her family and friends.  Margot will be dearly missed but never forgotten.  The memorial service will be held on April 21st at 11 am at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 104 Louella Avenue, Wayne, PA.
