The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from April 2 to April 7, 2018.

April 3. Theft of vehicle on the 8200 block of Ardleigh Street. A man told police he parked his vehicle in front of his home and sometime between April 2 at 4:30 p.m. and April 3 at 8:15 a.m., an unknown person took the car. The owner added that he had lost the spare key, but still had the main key in his possession. The man also stated that he had $1,800 worth of packaged coffee beans inside his car when it was taken. Taken was 2017 Nissan Rogue Black PA KMJ-8189. The vehicle is valued at $23,000.

April 5. Theft from vehicle on the 7700 block of Stenton Avenue. A witness told police that he last saw the owner’s black Honda Accord on April 4 at 5 p.m. When the witness returned to the vehicle the bottom trim on the right and left sides of the vehicle were removed. All four tires were also removed. Taken were four Honda Wheels and two pieces of trim valued at $1,400.

April 6. Theft from vehicle on the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue on March 27 at approximately 10 p.m. A woman told police that she parked her car on the 7700 block of Germantown Ave. When she returned on March 28 at 10 a.m., she found various items in her vehicle in disarray. She was unsure if anything was taken at the time of the result. The woman told police the car was left unlocked.
