The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Feb. 19 to Feb. 25, 2018.
Feb. 23. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of East Abington Avenue. A woman told police that between 12 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. an unknown person took two driver side tires off her gray 2018 Subaru CrossTek PA Tag. HCK-5713.
Feb. 24. Theft from vehicle on the 8000 block of Valley Green Road at approximately 10 a.m. A woman told police that an unknown person broke the passenger side rear window of her 2002 Toyota and took a black purse with approximately $200 in cash and a heart monitor. The items are valued at $240.
Feb. 24. Burglary on the 8200 block of Seminole Avenue. The homeowner told police that sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 and 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 24 an unknown person gained entry to the rear family room from the side window by prying open the window latch system and exiting the door next to the window. The owner said nothing was disturbed or taken. The owner found a large black cell phone in the bush next to the window outside.
Summary: Three crime for the week – One burglary and two thefts from vehicles
