The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Feb. 5 to Feb. 9, 2018.
Feb. 6. Theft from vehicle on Valley Green Road at approximately 2 p.m. Police were flagged down for theft in process. A woman told police she parked her vehicle on Valley Green Road and was notified that an unknown person attempted to use her credit card. When she returned to her vehicle, her driver’s side window was broken, and the following items were removed: one Visa credit card, Dell lap top, Bank of America card, 2 bottles of perfume, prescription drugs, chargers and epi-pen. An unknown person attempted to use her Bank of America card at a Target store.
Feb. 6. Theft from vehicle on the 700 block of Wolcott Drive. A woman told police that sometime between Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. and Feb. 6 at 7 a.m., an unknown person rummaged through the front of her vehicle interior and took men and women’s clothing from the truck. The vehicle was unlocked. There was no damage to the vehicle. Vehicle parked in the lot at Wolcott and Cornelia Place.
Feb. 7. Theft on 8100 block of Germantown Avenue. A woman told police that she sent a customer’s bracelet and three other jewelry items to a Center City jeweler. The box was delivered, but the bracelet and the paper work order slip were missing. The bracelet was valued at $15,000.
