Richard “Dick” C. Miller, 72 of Stone Mountain, Georgia died on January 3, 2018.

Mr. Miller was born on January 28, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA to his parents Walter P. Miller Jr. and Anne P. Miller. He graduated from Chestnut Hill Academy, Philadelphia in 1963 and went on to graduate from Ithaca College. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford in the United Kingdom.

After being discharged from the military, Mr. Miller worked as an investment bank underwriter for The St. Paul Company (now Travelers) in Indianapolis, Boston and Atlanta. After he retired, he eventually settled at Park Springs Retirement Community in Stone Mountain, GA. Dick was dedicated to his family and extremely active in the Episcopal Church.

He was a long time member of both St. John the Evangelist in Hingham, MA and the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta, GA. He was passionate about serving in his church and studying the Episcopal faith.  He completed the Episcopal Church’s Education for Ministry (EfM) program in his retirement.  He is preceded in death by his siblings Walter P. Miller III of Lake Lure, NC and Anne M. Roberts of Beaufort, SC and is survived by their children, his loving nieces and nephew.

A funeral was held in Georgia on January 12. Memorial donations can be sent to the Cathedral of St. Philip, 2744 Peachtree Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30305.
