The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Oct. 9 to Oct. 15, 2017.
Oct. 9. Theft from vehicle on the 9600 block of Germantown Avenue at approximately 5:20 p.m. A woman parked her car and returned at 6:40 p.m. When she returned, she discovered the driver’s side window smashed the following items taken: one pink Coach purse containing assorted items including one pink Coach wallet, Coach wallet ID, credit cards and various cards and $40 in cash.
Oct. 10. Theft on the 7800 block of Navajo Street at approximately 12 p.m. on Oct. 6. A man told police he was having his home worked on and was informed by the worker that he noticed five copper water downspouts missing. The items are valued at $1,000.
