Crime Report June 29: One aggravated assault and five thefts

The following crime report is for crimes in Chestnut Hill from June 18 to June 24, 2017.

June 18. Aggravated Assault on unit block of Gravers Lane. A man told police that he left Fiesta Pizza at approximately 11:15 p.m. on June 17, when he was approached by five men who began to punch him. The man told police that one of the males hit him with an unknown object causing a cut above his left eye. All five suspects fled westbound on Gravers. The complainant was transported to Chestnut Hill Hospital by Medic #33.

June 20. Theft on the 8300 block of Germantown Avenue at approximately 5:25 p.m. Elonda Murray was arrested near Ten Thousand Villages regarding a retail theft. Murray had items on her person from the listed store. Further investigation showed that she had been in the store and took jewelry from the store without paying. The jewelry is valued at $70.

June 20. Theft on the 8400 block of Germantown Avenue at approximately 5:23 p.m. An employee at J. McLaughlin said a woman stole two blouses without paying for them. The employee engaged her and retrieved the merchandise.

June 21. Theft on the 7800 block of Stenton Avenue on June 19 at approximately 11 a.m. The complainant told police that a package was supposed to be delivered by UPS containing a Sprint iPhone 6S Plus Rose Gold in color. The item is valued at $550.

June 21. Theft on June 21 at 6:30 a.m. A man told police he parked his vehicle on the 7700 block of Crittenden Street while he went to visit a friend in the hospital. The man said when he returned the vehicle was missing. OnStar was contracted and the vehicle was tracked in New Jersey City. Taken was one automobile, drills, tools, heating and cooling equipment. The items are valued at $62,000.00.

June 22. Theft on 9100 block of Greentree Road on June 18 at 4 p.m. A man told police that he saw his downspouts on Sunday, June 18. He noticed on June 21 that they were missing. The item is valued at $500.
