On March 1 the Norwood Fontbonne Academy varsity boys completed an undefeated basketball season in the Catholic Academies League by defeating Waldron Mercy Academy in the CAL championship game, 54-46. It was the first time in 18 years that NFA clinched the crown. Guided by head coach Michael Campbell, the Bears employed a press that helped produce 18 steals. Eighth-grader Mike Marable and seventh-grader Sam Brown rang up 14 points apiece for the champs, with eighth-grader Josh Hohenleitner adding 12.
