Lapham.[/caption] If you love the Philadelphia Flower Show, then you’ll love the Garden Club of America flower show,“ Look Both Ways," presented by Wissahickon Garden Club this weekend at the Chateau on Sugarloaf Hill Campus of Chestnut Hill College, 9220 Germantown Avenue. Exhibits will feature floral design competitions, botanical art including jewelry and couture, photography, and multiple horticulture exhibits from cut specimens of daffodils, irises, rhododendrons, azaleas, hostas and more to expertly grown container plants. There will also be two special exhibits, one focusing on the unique gardens of the Wissahickon Valley and one presenting crucial information about our pollinators and what we need to do to restore the healthy balance of bees, butterflies, bats and birds. Noted judges from all over the country have come to Chestnut Hill to judge the show. On sale at the Chateau, a boutique will feature unusual plants and plants for pollinators in addition to delightful gifts provided by Artisans on the Avenue. Exhibits will be open to the public on Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Sunday, May 1, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Admission is free. On Sunday a complimentary shuttle will be available during the Spring Festival from the top of the Hill to Sugarloaf and back. Proceeds raised from Look Both Ways will be donated to the Discovery Center, an outdoor youth education center on the banks of the East Park Reservoir in Strawberry Mansion. It is a dual project of Philadelphia Outward Bound and Audubon Pennsylvania and is meant to maintain the unique habitat of the 50 acre reservoir  and its surrounding woodlands. Beginning next summer, Philly  kids will be able to observe the hundreds of migratory species, hike the woodlands, and participate in high ropes courses.
