The following report is for crimes in Chestnut Hill between March 19 and 26.
March 22. 500 block W. Springfield Ave. Charles Glaze, 56, of West Philadelphia was arrested after a neighbor saw him trying to break into a home on the 500 block of West Springfield Avenue. The home had been burglarized on March 14.
March 23. Valley Green Rd. A man reported that his passenger-side window was broken and 1 MacBook Pro worth approximately $2,000 and miscellaneous groceries had been stolen from the vehicle. Reported at 3 p.m.
March 23. 8200 block Seminole Ave. A woman reported a Fuji mountain bike worth $450 had been stolen from a detached garage on her property. Reported at 8 p.m.
March 26. 9200 block Germantown Ave. A woman reported that a TD Bank card and her driver's license were stolen from her vehicle.Reported at 3 p.m.
Four crimes: One attempted burglary, two thefts from vehicles and one residential theft.
