More than 100 people enjoyed food, drink and music at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy on Nov. 22 for Teenagers Inc.'s 20th anniversary celebration of “A Taste of Chestnut Hill.”

The theme of this year's event was “A Trip Down Memory Lane.” Dawn Stensland-Mendte, a Philadelphia talk show host and news anchor for WMCN, hosted the affair, which was sponsored by Our Mother of Consolation Parish, Dr. Robin Gallagher of Chestnut Hill Dental and Bowman Properties.

The food for the event was a sampling of the best that Chestnut Hill has to offer. Local restaurants donated appetizers, Roller's at Flying Fish provided entrées, and The Night Kitchen Bakery, Meg McNally and the Pennsylvania General Store prepared the deserts. Bredenbecks' Bakery made a special anniversary cake to celebrate the occasion.

The evening also featured a wine raffle and a silent auction, with items donated by neighborhood businesses and organizations, such as Hill Company and Woodmere Art Museum. Local musician Andy Maher performed live music, and a special photo booth, PhotoBot3000, was on the premises for attendees to use to commemorate the celebration.

Stuart and Sherill Treitel, advocates of Teenagers Inc. and founding board members, received the Champions of Service Award, an honor given to adults who have supported Teenagers Inc. and its mission. Colin Koch was rewarded with the Richard and Jane Becker Alumnus Service Award, which recognizes a Teenagers Inc. alum who has continued to serve the group into adulthood. Additionally, on behalf of City Council, Stewart Graham awarded Marianne Dwyer and Jane Becker with a citation from city council in recognition of their founding of Teenagers Inc.
