Crime Report: One aggravated assault, one theft and one theft from vehicle

The following are the crimes reported from Nov. 8 through Nov. 14.

Nov. 9. 400 block of West Mermaid Lane. Theft from vehicle. At approximately 4:24 p.m., A woman stated that an unknown person gained entry to her unlocked vehicles (a Chevy Suburban and Ford Focus) and took $10 in change.

Nov. 10. 8400 block of Germantown Ave. Theft. Employee stated that a woman in her late 60s with short gray hair placed stolen items into two large floral print tote bags she was carrying. When the offender was questioned, she said she had a doctor's appointment and fled the store in an unknown direction.

Nov. 12. 7900 block of Stenton Ave. A woman told police that Jermaine Mclean, 35, of the 7900 block of Stenton Ave., smashed her in the head with a ceramic vase causing lacerations to her neck, hands and right leg. The victim was transported to Chestnut Hill Hospital by a private vehicle, treated and released.

Summary: Three crimes for the week: One aggravated assault, one theft and one theft from vehicle.
