Barbara Mancini, a nurse arrested and prosecuted in Pennsylvania on the charge of aiding the attempted suicide of her dying 93-year old father after handing him his prescribed morphine four days before his death, will discuss the issue at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Lovett Memorial Library, 6945 Germantown Ave. (at Sedgwick Street) in Mt. Airy.
Mancini, a nurse for more than 30 years, gained national attention during her year-long prosecution. The case was eventually dismissed for lack of evidence. She has since become a vocal advocate for end-of-life choice and will discuss her case and the implications for all who are facing end-of-life decisions.
