Crime Report: 2 burglaries, 2 thefts

The following crimes are from the week of Sept. 27 to Oct. 3

Sept. 27. 8200 block Saint Martin’s Lane. Theft. Complainant stated that an unknown person forced his way into her detached garage door by removing the molding. There were also scratches on the door. The person took one silver Trek bike valued at $681. The incident was captured on complainant’s surveillance camera.

Sept 28. 500 block of W. Moreland Ave. Theft from vehicle. Complainant stated an unknown person broke the front driver’s side window of his grey Acura, and stole a laptop, a Canon camera, a U.S. passport and 2,000 euros.

Sept. 29. 7800 block of Cresheim Road. Theft from Vehicle. Complainant said he parked his grey '11 Hyundai Elantra the night before. In the morning, he found the driver’s side window broken. Taken were: a black leather wallet, various store gift cards valuing about $20.

Oct. 1. 8300 block of Seminole St. Theft. Complainant said someone had stolen from her home a solitaire diamond ring, one pair of diamond earrings (total value of $15,000) out of her jewelry box, which was kept inside a second floor closet. She said she had contractors inside her home regularly between April 1 and Oct. 1.

Summary - Four crimes for the week. Two burglaries and two thefts from vehicles.
