Police have released surveillance video of an unknown male who they said burglarized the Trolley Car Diner, 7619 Germantown Ave. in Mt. Airy.
According to police, on Aug. 22, at 2 a.m., an unknown male gained entry to the Trolley Car Diner by kicking in a side glass door. Once inside, the suspect took the cash registers and attempted to break open the drawers.
Police said that after spending a considerable amount of time opening the empty registers, he proceeded to the second floor where he is seen walking through the storage area carrying a pipe. Then, he picked up a large CO2 bottle and used it to smash through the drywall partition of an office where a Toshiba laptop computer was taken. The suspect then left the diner through the side door in an unknown direction.
