Philadelphia police are searching for four armed men wanted in connection to an attempted home invasion in West Mt. Airy.
According to the police report, On July 14, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a 32-year-old man was inside his home on the 500 block of Burnham Road, when an African American man knocked on his door. The resident opened the door slightly, as he did, another African American man approached the door armed with a shotgun.
The resident quickly shut the door.
Police said two other men could be seen on surveillance cameras accompanying the robbers after the attempted home invasion. Police said all four of the men were armed and attempted to gain entry into the home.
The robbers fled the area in unknown direction.
No juries were reported.
If you see these suspects, do not approach them and call 911 immediately.
