David V. Friday, 47, of Phoenixville, owner of Hipster Home, a home furnishings store at 8236 Germantown Ave., died of a heart attack April 17 at Chestnut Hill Hospital.

Mr. Friday and his partner, Lindsay Herman, opened the store in Phoenixville in 2007 and relocated to Chestnut Hill in 2012. The shop showcases modern design and offers items not readily available at other home stores.

Born and raised in Norristown, Mr. Friday graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School, where he was an All-Catholic defensive lineman on the football team, and received a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from Temple University.

In addition to his partner, he is survived by his mother, Marion Friday, of Norristown; sisters Denise Moser, of Fort Worth, Texas, Johann Friday, of King of Prussia, and Beverly Termine, of Stowe.

A funeral Mass was celebrated April 25 at Holy Saviour Church in Norristown, with interment in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken. Memorial donations may be made to the football scholarship program at Pope John Paul II High School, 181 Rittenhouse Road, Royersford, PA 19468. – WF
