Fox News’ Dr. Mike to celebrate wellness at Chestnut Hill Hospital

On Saturday, March 28, at 11 a.m., Mike Cirigliano, MD, associate professor of medicine and practicing internist at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania will offer his Prescription for Wellness at Chestnut Hill Hospital’s Wellness Day. This free, day-long event at Chestnut Hill Hospital is open to the community and includes more wellness presentations, screenings, health education and light refreshments.

Dr. Cirigliano currently serves as the medical correspondent and on-air personality for the FOX 29 News program “Good Day Philadelphia.” Over the years, “Dr. Mike” has covered innumerable medical topics from sports injuries to infectious disease. He has a special interest in prevention and healthy living and will share his recommendations for wellness and healthy aging.

In addition, Wellness Day includes talks by colorectal surgeon Dr. Amit Khanna, “Bite into Healthy Digestion”, and internal medicine physician Dr. Keren McCarthy, “Why You and Your Family Need a Primary Care Doctor.”

Screenings include podiatry, BMI, arrhythmia, blood pressure and vascular disease. Attendees will also learn about nutrition, weight loss, breast care, hearing loss and senior behavioral health, and have the opportunity to meet with physicians to discuss individual concerns.

Health screenings and information will be available from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Dr. Khanna and Dr. Carlie Maradonna will speak on “Bite into Healthy Digestion” from 10 – 10:45 a.m.; “Dr. Mike’s Prescription for Wellness” will be from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.; and Dr. McCarthy will speak on “Why You and Your Family Need Primary Care” from 12:30 – 1:15 p.m. To register visit eventbrite.com/event/15759980526 or call 215-248-8930.
