The Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment is pleased to invite the community to a pair of interesting and important programs during the second week of February. Both programs are open to all who care about good health, and both are free to attend.
On Tuesday, February 10, at 1 p.m., we will meet in the CHCE “living room” for “Your Kidneys & You” with Rachel N'diaye, program coordinator for the National Kidney Foundation, and Lynne Parker, MSN, RN, NP-C, who has many years of experience treating patients with kidney disease and is currently the Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Delaware Valley Nephrology and Hypertension Associates.
What do your kidneys do? Much more than ridding the body of waste. Who is at risk of developing kidney disease? One in three Americans. What are the warning signs of kidney disease? Often very little. Come. Learn. Be well.
The Center for Enrichment is located at 8431 Germantown Ave. (between Gravers Lane and Highland Avenue).
On Thursday evening, February 12 at 7 p.m., the Center welcomes Megan Gill, R.Ph. to the Bombay Room in the Chestnut Hill Hotel, for the next in the CHCE Healthy on the Hill series. Ms. Gill is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences, with more than 20 years of pharmacy experience. After 2.5 years as the pharmacy’s manager, she has recently taken ownership of Chestnut Hill Pharmacy. Our speaker is prepared to discuss what that means, this year’s flu, vitamins and supplements, the role of insurance, vaccinations and more. Bring your questions and ask the pharmacist.
The Bombay Room is on the main floor of the Chestnut Hill Hotel, 8229 Germantown Ave.
To help in planning refreshments and seating, pre-registration for the two programs would be appreciated. Call (215-248-0180) or email (the.chce@verizon.net) the Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment.
